1) Do you clean Oriental / Area Rugs?
Pro Clean was on of the first companies in the United States to be IICRC certified in Oriental / area rug cleaning. We have a state-of-the-art facility conveniently located in downtown Pensacola behind McGuire's where we clean rugs like they do in the Middle East, but we additionally use high-tech equipment. We thoroughly wash your rug and remove the water using three extraction methods: apply anti-moth, anti-microbial, and carpet protector solutions. A quick dry is then applied. Did you know that Oriental rugs can hold up to 80 lbs. of of soil and all that soil and sand is cutting the fibers. Let our certified fir maintain your investments. You can drop off your rugs or we can pick them up and deliver them back to you. [return to top]
2) Do you clean tile and grout?
Pro Clean is one of the few IICRC certified hard floor surface (tile and grout) firms in the area. We have the latest equipment and cleaning solutions to take care of your natural or ceramic hard floor surface. Our high pressure turbo cleaner attaches to our truck-mount system to remove the soil and stains from your tile and grout lines and then takes it out to our trucks. Your floor will be clean and dry in a short time and, if you desire, we can then seal your grout. We use a top-of-the-line, commercial sealant that completely penetrates the grout and can last from 5 to 10 years! [return to top]
3) What is the difference between dry and steam cleaning?
Steam cleaning is definitely the best cleaning method for most cleaning situations but there are a few circumstances where dry cleaning is appropriate. Residential carpet cleaning is always done best with a powerful truck mount system that will remove stains and soil all the way down to the backing of the carpet.
For regular cut pile carpet, there is no reason to use a dry cleaning method due to our new DRIMASTER SYSTEM. We can deep steam clean your carpet and get it dry in just a few hours! Spots and stains won't return, and you will be amazed.
Most of the readers of this web page want to have their home or business carpets cleaned. Under special circumstances, you want to see a clean van with a certified, uniformed technician pulling up to your home or business with one of our truck mount systems. Our cleaning procedure will begin with a prespray, which will take all the dirt out to the truck. In addition, specialty spotting may be necessary on some stains. This is definitely the best way to clean a carpet, and the only way to keep a warranty with Shaw Industries, the world's largest manufacturer of carpets. Normal drying time is 2 to 5 hours with the DRIMASTER SYSTEM and 5 to 7 hours for berber carpet which cannot utilize the DRIMASTER SYSTEM. Immediately after cleaning, it does not hurt the carpet to walk on it as long as you wipe your feet before you come in from outside.
For commercial glue down carpet that must be dry cleaned, the encapsulation method is the best method. The encapsulation method utilizes a special chemical that is applied to the carpet and then worked in using a special pad. The soil is essentially rolled into a ball and and extracted from the fibers. Vacuuming is the final step in removing the soil. This is a brand new method of cleaning and we think it is the best way to dry clean. [return to top]
4) What type of carpet should I buy?
Take a look at the chart that we have provided (click here for chart) and examine the pros and cons. Many people ask us about berber, but let it be known that berber's olefin fibers stain easily and high traffic areas tend to wear out quickly. I have seen new, expensive homes where the owners were ready to rip up their berber carpet after only 6 months due to its ugly appearance. Call us to get more information about which carpets wear and clean the best. [return to top]
5) Do you clean upholstery?
We are one of the few IICRC certified upholstery cleaning firms in the area. This is important for upholstery, because it is pretty hard to ruin someone's carpet, but quite easy to harm upholstery fabric. Cottons and Haitian cotton, along with silk, rayon and other synthetic fabric can be difficult to clean. We have a unique dry cleaning process that we use on any hard-to-clean fabric. We can even remove water rings from cotton, silk, and other natural fabric upholstery! Please give us a call before you have just anybody work on your valuable upholstery. [return to top]
6) What does IICRC certification mean?
The IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification) is the certification board which writes all of our standards and oversees our schools and ProClean is one of the most certified companies in the Pensacola area certified in COMMERCIAL and RESIDENTIAL CARPET CLEANING, UPHOLSTERY CLEANING, ODOR CONTROL, WATER DAMAGE RESTORATION, CARPET CARE AND REINSTALLATION, APPLIED STRUCTURAL DRYING, HARD FLOOR SURFACES, ORIENTAL / AREARUG CLEANING, AND CARPET SPOT DYEING. In addition, the owner Dave DeBlander, is a MASTER CLEANING TECHNICIAN. To achieve all this certification, technicians must attend two or three day schools and then pass the tests administered after the classes. It should be noted that almost all of the classes our technicians have taken were taught by Master Cleanfax Carpet-Cleaning Man of the Year in 1991. Mr. Bishop sits on the advisory board of many industry giants, and is board director of the IICRC. [return to top]
7) Help, my house is flooded. What should I do?
First of all, call us. We are a certified water damage restoration firm with lots of experience. Over the last couple of years, we have probably averaged 3 jobs per week restoring flooded carpet. One great thing is, with our high tech equipment, unless your carpet is an exceptional situation, we can probably dry out your carpet without having to pull it up. Obviously, this saves you a lot of money and inconvenience. Our state-of-the-art equipment can actually pull the water out of your pad and into our trucks. We have sufficient dryers and dehumidifiers to complete the job. Whether it's one room that got wet from a flood or a a high rise condominium complex that jsut got hit by a hurricane, give us a call and we'll get you dry. [return to top]
8) Is carpet healthy?
The EPA did a study of indoor air quality and discovered that home with carpet had cleaner air than homes with hard floor surfaces. How could this be? The fact of the matter is that carpet traps particulants that float in the air such as dust, skin cells, etc. and that frequent vacuuming then eliminates them. When a home does not have carpet, the particulants continue to circulate in the air when the HVAC system comes on. Of course, a good vacuum is essintial to maintain the air quality (we recommend uprights). You may want to think twice before ripping out your carpet. [return to top]
9) What type of equipment do you have?
Now that's an important question. At Pro Clean, we have absolutely the best equipment company in the U.S. Our vacuums are so powerful, our technicians have to be careful not to pull the carpet right off the tack strips. Each one of our trucks carry the amazing MASTER ROTARY EXTRACTORS. These high tech wands give a deep steam cleaning and the carpet is dry in just a few hours! Other cleaners don't have this equipment because it's expensive, but we have them on all of our vans.
Unless your carpet's traffic areas are being cleaned with these high tech wands, your carpet simply is not being cleaned in the best possible fashion. These machines are the best thing for carpet cleaning. We cannot tell you how many times we have cleaned a carpet that was ready for the trash, and after a DRIMASTER cleaning, they looked brand new.
Unfortunately, the DRIMASTER cannot be used on berber carpets. Our regular wands and powerful vacuums will get your berber carpet looking great. The powerhouse behind al of our equipment is our $60,000 truck-mount system. Our vacuums are so powerful, they actually runoff of the 300 horsepower van engines. This is another reason why your carpets will be dry before you know it and no soapy residue will be left on your carpet or hard floor surface. [return to top]
10) Are you guaranteed?
We are members of the Better Business Bureau and if you give them a call, you'll hear that in all our years of service we have not had one complaint. The reasons for this are simple. Our technicians are paid by the hour, so they are in no hurry to get done with your job and then run to the next because they are on a commission. They are highly trained, certified technicians who really care about you and the work that they do and you'll be aware of that from the moment they greet you at the door. Our technicians are uniformed, clean, and neat. If one of our technicians is running a few minutes late, they will call you to let you know.
Our guarantee is simple, if a spot or stain that we remove ever comes back, we return at no charge or if you are not happy for any reason, we will happily return at no cost. If you are still dissatisfied after our service, your money will be refunded. [return to top]
11) Can you eliminate unwanted odors?
Once again, an IICRC certified firm is what you want to look for in determining what company to use for eliminating odors. Pro Clean has been an IICRC certified odor control company since 1994 and is an expert firm in the area of whine, cigarette, "wet dog", musty, and a host of other hostile odors.
Urine odor is probably the number one offending odor and we know how to remove this problem. After finding the source with our urine detectors, we then apply a new-to-the-industry solution that works incredibly well. After letting the solution soak the carpet and pad, we then put a device on the carpet that pulls the urine and solution through our hoses and out to the truck.
Cigarette smell can usually be removed after we "thermal bog" the area and the "wet dog" smell is eliminated through specialty carpet cleaning and an additional solution.
Call us today for a free estimate and an IICRC odor control technician will be glad to give you an expert opinion concerning your situation. [return to top]
